| | Queen - Bohemian Rhapsody (Headmusic, not external) | ] | Dreams returning... Twice in the last week they had us wake up in tears. Once for no (apparent) good reason, we saw a gardener, taking care of some potted plants on a table/workbench type area, and it moved us to tears. Once because... well. The banished, half-evil bat/bird saw his master leaving the "village" gates to leave food for him. And he called out, a high, birdlike wail of pain and thanks. That one still gets us... |

| | Hungry | ] | Back from Rainbow. Spent the entire time sick, nonetheless made it for the prayer for peace on the 4th, met one of the hitchhikers we'd brought home from our first Rainbow Gathering, so felt like the circle completed itself.
No longer veg/pescetarian. Going without food at all made us realize how much we enjoy food, almost all of it, certainly burned cow and turkeys. Mmm.
Still no net at home. Pondering acquiring it to (relapse and) play a MUD, get some social interaction and fantasy fix. Probably won't though, since money = food. Mmm... food.
We must go. And eat. |

[Jun. 19th, 2009|02:05 pm] |
Ah life. Still planning on leaving for the annual Rainbow Gathering on the 29th. Sometimes the best things in life come easy. Others we have to fight for. Rarely do we find them in the middle. Good karma and safe travels to all of you out there. |

| Falling Behind |
[May. 21st, 2009|02:40 pm] |
Without the 'net at home, it has fallen to the wayside. Social interaction takes first priority, and tends to expand in a primarily radial fashion geographically.
Lately we've had several instances of the sensation of overwhelming love, beauty, and gratitude. This proves socially inappropriate, which we find hilarious. Crying over say, a beautiful day, good company, and a vegetarian burrito doesn't make sense. At least if anyone ever asks "Is something wrong" we can shake our head and choke out "No, everything is amazing." |

Yuppies pay entirely too much money for poor quality internet service. Sharing a geophysical region with them hurts.
DSL starts at 45.00 a month around here. Ridiculous. And the neighbors all lock their networks up tight, we would too if we spent that much on minimal bandwidth.
Ubiquitous free net access will change the world. We Will it to spread further faster. |

Moved (except for a few necessities) into our new apartment.
At the old one at the moment as our internet provider doesn't do service at the new location.
Had some very odd dreams lately. Logarithms to make/use armor. Disrupted sleep. Wanting to pass out midday. Hmm hmm hmm.
Things change, slowly but surely. |

We saw a halo around the moon, a Moondog apparently. Very pretty. Nice clouds lately too. Sleep now. |

Note to self: Create cleaning music mix cd for use in near future. |

Rainbows. Love that prismatic energy. But how does one describe a rainbow do it justice, with words alone? Impossible. But one can point out a rainbow to those unaware, and share the beauty directly
Just such an immediate experience, the refraction of light, just so. In some sense, point of view creates rainbows, and to separate it seems difficult if not impossible. |

| Corvidae |
[Feb. 2nd, 2009|03:54 pm] |
Saw a murder of crows the other day, while bicycling...
Heard a woman on the bus earlier talking about crows, jackdaws, and magpies.
Have begun to read a Sandman story about "A Parliament of Rooks" and have had the characters mention various Corvidae...
Three times means something... Hmm... |

| Dam About to Burst? |
[Jan. 14th, 2009|10:07 pm] |
Evenings like this we remember why we identify heavily with Water as an element. We feel the stirrings of deep movement, placid until whipped up by the change in the Moon's Influence or the Tremors of Earth, of Turbulent Wind or slow roiling of the Sun's Fire.
Then everything heaves, and some part of us restrains it all. Too much, water seeks always to flow, to move downhill, to find its place of Equilibrium, and we can only hold it back for so long before it bursts through this artificial barrier we've created.
We shake with inwardly directed tension, with emotion, with desire, with fear, hope, love, hurt, and the beauty of it all.
But we don't want to lose this fragile shell of Ego in the Flood. Ha... we should not fear so. It survived every other attempt to destroy it, to atom-bomb it from existence, to gently scrub away at it until it faded into the background...
Let it flow, find an outlet. Art, music, movement, sound... something. This itself, a meta-outlet, a blueprint of the mind. |

Conundrum. Entertainment and possibility/fantasy vs. Knowledge and certainty/banality
Obviously it hasn't a need for one or the other at all times BUT We've almost always chosen the second (and for the record we chose banality as a counterpart to fantasy rather than an accurate description of the effects of Knowledge in general) Perhaps... Sometimes. Just... every so often. We should choose the first.
*blink* Oh hey. Wait. Silly silly human. Liar liar mistaken rather.
Hahaha. Oh well, we still usually can't stop ourselves from opening up the box, looking under the rock, untying the ribbon and letting the girl's head fall off (WTF, by the way, who reads a story like that to a 6 year old?) |

Such a terribly sad song, yet always liberating, to us somehow. Coincidence that it plays now? Never any such thing. We have only to Decipher a Meaning From It ? |

[Dec. 25th, 2008|12:50 am] |
We have not as much inner strength as we'd thought. The muscles must work, those of our mind, our focus, our concentration. To clear our mind we must first clear our mind, then upon failure clear again and again and again...
Dealing with it better than we thought, of course, but not as good as we ought. Off course...
Triangulating... Where did we misplace our psychic theodolite? |
